Malia is the one who gasped this morning and said "Look at the beautiful sunset!" (Yes she said sunSET) And I'm glad that I did. The rest of my day might've been sorta crappy but looking back on this morning's picture, it makes things seem just a little brighter.
I have seen three different December photo challenges going around this weekend. I have decided to do a mash-up of all three! Basically taking the three of them and choosing which one I'll do from day to day. [And these pictures will break my usual rule by also being posted on Instagram for more people to follow.]
Watching from the upstairs floor of our small town's cafe while Malia's grade gets set up to serenade the customers with Christmas songs! She's in the peachy-pink shirt directly to the right of the shelves.
I got to see the fun insides of my piano today! After owning it for 11 years it finally got its second tuning...yes I slacked off for an entire decade! As soon as the tuner left, I had to put down my crocheting and give her a test drive. Oh my, what a difference!
Every year I like to buy at least one new Christmas CD for my collection. This is the one I picked up today...unfortunately it was a swing and a miss. Looks like I'll be heading back to the store to try again!
For the last several weeks I have lived and breathed yarn. I'm happy for the extra income this time of year and I really do enjoy making these items...but I think it's safe to say that I'm ready to be all caught up on orders so I can take a bit of a break...hopefully that will happen by the end of the month???
Today was my dreaded MRI for my lower back...it was a long wait in the reception area since we arrived early, but it gave me time to work through some things in my head. More on this experience coming up on my "regular" blog, but bottom line: I lived to tell the tale!
Les made a delicious breakfast this morning and the girls made me a plate and brought it up to my room for me since they figured I would still be in bed. I had just been on my way down so I ended up eating it at the table with them, but it was so sweet that they wanted to surprise me with breakfast in bed!
